I was lucky enough to be invited on holiday for 5 nights with Wills family. We went to Putsborough which is hidden away by country lanes but only about 2 miles along the beach from Woolacombe.

It was a really relaxing holiday which involved a lot of time sitting in the sun reading or swimming in the sea and I loved every minute of it.

Will and I arrived on Sunday afternoon and it didn’t take long before we had a little swim. It wasn’t the most pleasant sea swim I’ve ever had as there were loads of tiny little jelly fish which we soon renamed as jelly blobs so I was a little grossed out by them bobbing along beside us! But whilst we were there we played some ball games on the beach.

And oh boy was the sunset that night beautiful that Will and I went on a little evening stroll

The next day we went on a walk from Putsborough via Baggy Point to Croyde and back which only took about 3 hours with a ice cream stop

And we even managed to do a spot of climbing… not quite the climbing I would’ve liked to have done as there are some amazing looking cliff climbs down there

But despite the lack of climbing we made the most of the walk and its beautiful stretch of coastline

The following day was another walk… and it was stunning. We started at Lee Bay and walked all the way back along the coast path from there to putsborough (stopping for some lunch and a much needed pint in woolacombe).

At Mortehoe point we also did some seal spotting
