Bye bye autumn hello winter! How has in the last week the weather changed to feeling like winter ?! I’m writing this from my uni room with the heating on full, wrapped up in a blanket and slippers wishing I had gloves on.

When I was at home for my reading week, I had a few opportunities to enjoy the last of Autumn (firstly on the Mendips which features on this post)

Last Sunday my lovely boyfriend William took me for a date over the bridge to wales for a gorgeous walk in the Forest of Dean

Will drove us an hour to Beechenhurst wood with our waking boots ready to do the sculpture trail

The walk itself was about 2 hours and featured a mix of ‘sculptures’ and was on fairly easy (but occasionally muddy) terrain.

But most impressively the Forest was glowing!!!

It was a lovely sunny and crisp day to be walking about. It defiantly made me feel refreshed after doing a pub crawl for Asia, one of my best mates, 21st birthday the night before.

We then stopped for some lunch at the forestry commission cafe there. The service was so quick and the food was soooo yummy! I had a Brie and red onion chutney panini (it was so needed). As well as tasting good it was also reasonably priced.

With fully bellies of warm food we headed back home (over the other bridge!)

It was a lovely day and I deffo recommend you make the trip. My photos don’t give it enough justice of how much the forest was glowing. If you do go, make sure you bring some change for the car park.

Over the week I’ve also been on lots of woof walks with Amber. Look how photogenic she has been, admittedly it was probably for the biscuits I was wafting in her face ….

And to finish off the post with an exciting bit of news; on Monday 11th November I passed my Driving Test!

Thanks all for reading. I hope you’ve made the most of the last moments of Autumn. I’ll see you next week with another post.
